American standard fully welded ball valve - API/ASME system lifetime maintenance-free zero leakage isolation solution


Design concept

The valve body is made of forged steel or steel plates rolled and welded into a fully enclosed pressure-bearing shell, without any valve body flanges or gaskets, physically eliminating the leakage path. The sphere is fixedly supported by an ear shaft. The medium thrust is introduced into the valve body through the ear shaft, and the sealing load is controllable. The design fully complies with API 6D and ASME B16.34 systems. Core concept: Exchange a fully welded structure for the commitment of zero leakage with the same lifespan as the pipeline, and ensure full life cycle compliance with the American standard closed-loop system. It provides maintenance-free isolation solutions specifically for critical pipeline nodes that are buried underground, under the sea, or in extremely cold conditions and are inaccessible and unrepairable.


Performance advantage

· Zero leakage valve body: Fully welded and enclosed structure, without valve body flange gasket, meeting the highest ISO 15848 low escape requirement, completely eliminating leakage.

· Extremely low operating torque: The fixed ball ear shaft is supported, and the medium thrust is carried by the ear bearing. The torque is only 1/3 to 1/5 of that of the floating ball of the same specification, significantly reducing the specification of the actuator.

· Bidirectional airtight grade seal: The downstream valve seat medium is self-tightened, and the upstream valve seat spring is pre-tightened, meeting the API 598 high-pressure gas seal zero bubble acceptance, and reliable bidirectional disconnection from low pressure to full pressure.

· Cavity pressure self-relief: The upstream valve seat automatically opens slightly, releasing the abnormal pressure rise caused by reheating in the middle cavity to the upstream pipeline without the need for an external safety valve, ensuring the safety of the fully welded and sealed cavity.

· Ultra-high structural rigidity: The integral valve body is forged and welded, and after welding, it undergoes stress relief annealing. Its rigidity and resistance to combined bending and tensile loads far exceed those of cast or bolt-assembled valve bodies, and it can be directly buried underground without the need for fixed supports.

· Full diameter and low flow resistance: The ball hole is consistent with the inner diameter of the pipe, with nearly zero pressure loss. It can pass through a pigging device to meet the inspection requirements inside the pipeline.

Compact and lightweight: Eliminating the need for heavy flanges and bolts, it is 20% to 30% lighter than flanged ball valves of the same specification, making it suitable for skid-mounted and platform applications.


Safety performance

· Fireproof structure: Primary non-metallic seal + secondary graphite/metal seal, certified by API 607/6FA, maintaining effective shut-off in case of fire.

· Anti-blowout valve stem: The reverse sealing step design complies with API 608, and the valve stem will not be blown out even when the cover is completely loosened.

· Anti-static conduction: The resistance of the ball - valve stem - valve body is ≤10Ω.

· Cavity pressure self-relief protection: The upstream valve seat automatically relieves pressure to prevent deformation or rupture of the middle cavity due to pressure build-up.

· Zero leakage commitment: No valve body connection parts, zero leakage of the body, and lifetime maintenance-free.

· Emergency sealing grease injection: When the sealing surface fails, grease injection can be carried out online to establish a temporary seal and prevent immediate suspension of transportation.
